What We Believe

We believe that the eternal Godhead exists in three persons — the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit — and that these three are one God, worthy of precisely the same homage, confidence, and obedience.

We believe the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God — trustworthy, sufficient, and our final authority for all we believe and how we live. It is the Word we treasure and the Word we open together every time we gather.

We believe in the virgin birth and the sinless humanity of Jesus Christ — that He is fully God and fully man, God with us, come to seek and to save.

We believe in the total and universal depravity of man by nature — that every person is a sinner in need of a Saviour and cannot save himself by works or religion.

We believe that a person must be born again — that salvation is the free gift of God, received by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, who died for our sins and rose again. This spiritual rebirth, worked by the Holy Spirit, is essential to salvation.

We believe that the Holy Spirit — not a mere influence but a divine Person, the source and power of all acceptable worship and service — is our abiding Comforter and Helper, indwelling and empowering every believer.

We believe in the reality and personality of Satan — a real adversary who is already a defeated enemy, and whose end, with all who reject Christ, is certain.

We believe the duty of the Church is to give the gospel to everyone. Our heart is to proclaim His good news to the people God puts in our lives — here in the Charlotte area and beyond.

We believe the Lord Jesus Christ will return pre-millennially to introduce the Millennial age — personally, visibly, and in power — and that we are to watch, work, and be ready for His coming.
